A one month Long  in-house  training program was held for all the staff of Radio Programs Department of PSM from 27th August to 27th September 2019 . A consultant from United Kingdom  named Mr Ben Williams was  brought  to Male to conduct the training . Mr Ben , from Beyond Broadcasting Ltd    was  recommended by ABU .

Beyond Broadcasting Ltd works with media organizations around the world to help them modernize, develop and reach their potential.They offer consultancy and advice based on years of multi-media journalism, production and management experience.  They implement change through training and on-the-job mentoring and support.

The consultant Ben Williams himself has worked in TV, radio and online and was involved in some of the first multimedia productions at the BBC World Service. He has worked in many different roles including presenter, editor, commissioner and project director.He has trained people at organizations large and small all over the world and has authored a journalism training manual.

Usually   only  a few  staff  get  training opportunity  when sent abroad. 

Holding in house trainings as these are more productive as  more  staff can be trained within limited financial  resources  .
