Public Service Media (PSM) has been appointed the official media partner for Vara Expo 2026.

Organised by the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, the Vara Expo 2026 will be held from 26 to 28 November 2026 at Central Park in Hulhumale’. The expo brings together government institutions and private businesses and allows job seekers to meet employers and learn about employment opportunities directly. As the media partner, PSM will promote and provide news and information about the expo to the public.

The partnership agreement was signed between the ministry and PSM on 22 September. The ministry was represented by its State Minister Dr Abdulla Nazeer while PSM was represented by its Deputy Managing Director Abdulla Yamin.

The State Minister said PSM has provided extensive coverage of the expo for the past three years, and thanked the media for its role in bringing information to the public. According to the State Minister, 30,000 young people sought information from the expo last year, and more than 1,100 secured jobs following the event.

PSM’s Deputy Managing Director said as the Vara expo is conducted differently to other events and showcases the skillset of several individuals, it makes effective public communication particularly important. He said PSM is reviewing and working on what it can do to bring such information to the public and what areas need to be further improved.
