ABU Festival
ABU Song Festival consists of two shows, a Radio Song Festival and TV Song Festival, organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). This year’s radio festival took place on 26 April 2016 in Beijing, China. Thirteen songs from ten countries took part in the festival and the performance from Maldives was given by Bathool Ahmed.
The ABU festival with the cooperation of Radio Republik Indonesia & Televisyen Republik Indonesia, hosted the 5th International TV Song Festival on 22 October 2016 in Bali, Indonesia. The performance from Maldives was given by the first Maldivian Idol Laisha Junaid.
